Overview
The M1 E3A André Ampère route, led by ENS Paris-Saclay, is the first year of the E3A master and feeds into the M2 programmes of the mention. It offers three orientations: a generalist track, a physics and energy track and a digital sciences track. Each orientation has specific unit lists, and students choose a track when they start the year.
The year has two teaching blocks, one per semester. Within the ENS Paris-Saclay diploma, students complete a reinforcement module and a two-month research internship. The generalist track mixes units from physics and energy with digital sciences. The aim is applied physics and digital sciences theory as preparation for a research master.
