Overview

This three-year BA in Germanic Studies with a specialisation in German as an ethnic minority language is taught in German. Students study German language, literature and culture and build communicative competence for intercultural settings. The minority strand adds courses on the German-speaking minority in Hungary, including its history, language use, folk culture and literature. Teaching uses small groups, seminars, exercises, tutorials and project work, and aims at C1-level language skills for careers and master's study across Europe.
