Kuwait University's Faculty of Law offers this Bachelor of Laws through an annual study system, where students work through a set list of compulsory and elective courses defined on the college's own graduation sheet rather than a flexible credit-accumulation model. The nominal length of the program is four academic years, though the faculty allows up to seven years for students who need longer to finish their coursework.
Admission cut-offs are not fixed in advance: each year, the University Council approves the entry percentage based on that year's secondary-school results, and the college only takes applicants whose law application was their first or second choice. Both scientific and literary secondary-school tracks are eligible, and the college admits new students once a year. Once enrolled, students choose among four departments: Private Law, Public Law, International Law and Criminal Law.
