Diploma in Physiotherapy

This three-year diploma prepares students who have completed secondary schooling to work as physiotherapists, focusing on managing and preventing problems that affect the body's physical functioning. Students learn to maximise movement and agility so that patients can achieve the greatest possible independence, using established techniques to address disorders affecting people of all ages. The programme also covers treatment and rehabilitation of patients with physical and psychological impairments. Subjects studied include anatomy, physiology, behavioural science, kinesiology, exercise therapy and electrotherapy, together with communication skills for interacting with and counselling patients.
