BA/BS in Music in Education

The Bachelor of Music in Education teaches students to pass their enthusiasm for music on to others. Students develop traditional musical skills and their own artistic sound, while learning the pedagogy and didactics needed to teach inspiringly and effectively. Lessons on their own instrument are combined with other instruments and singing, plus ensemble playing, conducting and arranging. Practical experience begins in the first year through internships, projects and concerts in the professional field. Students direct their own study route, guided in self-research into their vision of the music teacher's role, and can link up with the music, dance and circus programmes at Codarts. The bachelor is based in Rotterdam.
