MA/MS in Business Analytics and Operations Research

This Tilburg master's teaches students to analyse data and turn that analysis into applied models for business decision-making. Coursework covers advanced mathematical methods in optimisation, machine learning, and supply chain analysis, applied to demanding real-world problems rather than abstract exercises. Students gain both the technical skills and the responsibility to design decision-support tools intended for practical use, and choose between two tracks. The Business Analytics track centres on turning data into models that guide decisions, creating value for institutions, companies, and individuals alike. The Operations Research track centres on developing and applying analytical methods to improve decision-making, with most of its techniques relying on mathematical representations built to capture the specific decision problem being studied. Both tracks share a strong quantitative foundation while directing that foundation toward different kinds of decision problems.
