Lingvistikk (bachelor)

This three-year bachelor's programme is the scientific study of language and speech. It does not focus on one language but examines the range of languages across the world, including how language is learned, used and processed in the brain. Students follow compulsory courses for a solid base in linguistics and can build a personal profile with elective courses. The award is a bachelor's degree at level 5 and provides a basis for a master's in linguistics or other language-related master's programmes. Graduates can work in research, language technology, education, or media and communication.
