The Bachelor of Theology, Mission and Ministry aims at equipping students to serve in their local church and/or to do missionary work. It qualifies for both voluntary and paid work in Christian churches and organizations. Students who complete the Bachelor of Theology, Mission and Ministry will be qualified for further studies at the master’s level in theology and religious studies.During the three years of theology study you will gain a profound knowledge of the Bible and exegesis. You will gain knowledge of Christian faith in a historical and contemporary perspective. This will contribute academic weight to various professions. You will gain knowledge of the church's mission and be equipped to meet people with different religious or theological beliefs with respect. When you also gain practice in processing and presenting knowledge of Christian faith and doctrine in various contexts, you will be well equipped for church and missionary work after a bachelor's degree in theology and mission.Bachelor of Theology Ministry and Mission is a gathering based – online study. It is aimed at students who are not able to participate full-time on campus in Oslo, but are able to participate in the gathering-weeks. Each semester contains one week on-campus teaching and one week digital teaching. Both weeks are a requisite for completing the course. Outside of the teaching weeks you will be working with the curriculum through the material found on the digital learning platform, as well as through work requirements with feedback.The bachelorprogram does not require that you live in Oslo on a permanent basis, and will not give the right to obtain a student-visa.
