Program details

Overview

The programme addresses digitalisation in the health sector, combining ICT understanding with knowledge of how health services are organised, including how health data on individuals and populations is collected, integrated and quality-assured so it reaches clinical, administrative and strategic decision-makers. It teaches competence in developing ICT solutions and in the strategies and processes used to introduce and run information systems within health services, drawing on perspectives from both informatics and health disciplines. Students choose between two programme options, health or informatics, within a curriculum designed for both computer scientists building health-sector knowledge and health professionals building informatics knowledge, addressing digitalisation questions across practices, levels and organisations both nationally and internationally.
