Overview
The master's in Sustainable Agriculture covers the sustainability of Mediterranean agricultural systems. Its scope spans integrated production, economic and environmental sustainability, and technological innovation. The first year is a specialisation of twelve course units worth 60 ECTS, covering agroecology and biodiversity, soil use and conservation, irrigation and water management, integrated pest protection, organic production and forest management.
The second year (60 ECTS) combines one course unit with an internship, project or dissertation, chosen to match each student's profile. An internship develops daily farm management skills, a project develops strategic planning, and a dissertation focuses on technology transfer and experimental development. The award is a second-cycle master's degree. Entry is by application to the polytechnic.
