BA/BS in Computer Engineering

Qatar University's Computer Engineering program, first offered in 2002, sits at the intersection of electrical engineering, computer science, and mathematics, focusing on the design, analysis, and application of computer hardware and software within integrated computing systems. The field sits between computer science, which covers the software side, and electrical engineering, which covers the hardware side. Students gain hands-on experience through practical labs in digital logic, microprocessors, electronic signal processing, computer interfacing, and robotics, culminating in a graduation project where teams build a complete hardware and software system modeled on a real industrial application. Accreditation comes from ABET's Engineering Accreditation Commission, and the program ranks among the more competitive offerings in the College of Engineering.
