BA/BS in Computer Science

Qatar University's Computer Science program, first offered in 1989, builds students' foundations in mathematical reasoning, algorithmic thinking, and programming, then extends into project-based courses spanning software engineering, databases, big data, machine learning, networking, and both mobile and web development. ABET's Computing Accreditation Commission accredits the program. Admission is competitive and based on meeting the university's minimum high-school percentage requirement, along with either the university's general competency requirements or successful completion of the Foundation Program. Graduates pursue careers such as software engineer, web or mobile developer, cybersecurity analyst, business intelligence analyst, AI developer, machine learning specialist, network architect, and data scientist, both within Qatar and internationally.
