Overview
Qatar University's doctoral track in Chemical Engineering is a research-heavy PhD meant to give students advanced training that pushes toward the highest standard of scholarly accomplishment in engineering. The degree centers on independent research, preparing graduates to take on new engineering problems as innovators rather than only applying existing methods.
Students build strong theoretical and experimental grounding and work to develop their own capacity for high-level, independent research, with contributing fresh knowledge to the field treated as a core goal of the degree rather than a side effect. Graduates typically go on either to lead within industry in their specialty or to pursue academic careers at universities anywhere in the world.
