Master of Arts (Instructional Design and Technology)

NIE's instructional design and technology master's programme trains education and training professionals in instructional design processes and widens the knowledge of those who apply, manage and develop information technologies in schools and corporate settings. It addresses solving instructional problems with technology, including e-learning. It is intended for two groups: learners who want to concentrate on instructional design in corporate training and industry, and those who want to focus on technology-supported learning in schools and colleges. Typical participants include school IT leaders, corporate trainers, instructional software developers and managers of e-learning environments. Courses are delivered in 52 contact hours, except the data methods course for design projects, which takes 26 contact hours. Applicants need a sound first degree or, alternatively, a relevant NTU FlexiMasters completed with good grades, and a background in corporate training, teaching or software development for education is preferred. There is generally one intake, in January.
