Master of Science (Research) in Biological Sciences

The School of Biological Sciences at NTU offers a Master of Science by research, which students can take full-time or part-time under the guidance of faculty members. Candidates work on projects aligned with the goals of their chosen laboratory and receive advanced instruction in foundation courses and hands-on practical modules. The degree requires coursework of three modules worth 9 academic units and Transferable Skills Modules, completed within the candidature period, and original research that leads to a dissertation. The school aims to produce research scientists with broad and deep knowledge. Work spans structural and cell biology, a theme that links development, disease and target discovery, and plant and agrobiology. There are two intakes each year, in August and January, and applicants are advised to upload applications four months before the intake they want.
