The Doctorate in Applied Linguistics for Language Teaching is presented as a teacher-training programme that aims to develop plurilingual competence among citizens. Its research line covers language acquisition and learning, sociolinguistics and pragmatics, language policy, corpus linguistics, language assessment and certification, and professional applications of bilingualism.
The programme is delivered in blended format, in Spanish and English, on the Arturo Soria campus and runs over four to seven courses. Applicants are interviewed by the academic coordinator. Teaching experience is not compulsory, although it is strongly recommended, especially in foreign language teaching.
