Master in Human Resource Management

The Master in Human Resource Management (MHRM) is a 2.5-year, in-class programme worth 70 ECTs, delivered in Suriname by the FHR School of Governance, Law & Humanities together with Tilburg University's School of Social and Behavioral Sciences (TSB) in the Netherlands; the sixth cohort began in 2022. It targets HR managers and young HR professionals. Rather than treating HR purely as staff administration, the programme frames it as aligning employee ambitions with a company's strategic goals, arguing this alignment becomes especially important as firms go through economic restructuring and their HR goals shift along with their broader strategy. A research component built around data analysis lets students measure how HR practices affect corporate performance, aiming to build HR professionals capable of strengthening their organizations' institutional capacity amid a changing environment.
