Program details

Overview

This two-year programme explores how literature functions within society and how it interacts with language and culture from several intercultural perspectives. Students learn to analyse literature critically and reflect on its potential to contribute to greater intercultural understanding in a global society. Courses in the first year address world literature, migration and gender, and the third semester deepens research methodology. The programme runs over four full-time semesters with a 30-credit Master's thesis in the final semester. It can also be studied part-time, and partner universities abroad contribute to its international character.
