Overview

The master's programme sits between sports science and medicine and treats training as medicine, with biomedicine as its base. Students learn how training affects physical health and how to apply that knowledge to health promotion, disease prevention and sports performance. They develop skills to analyse the human body from an exercise physiology perspective. The focus is on musculoskeletal disease, with students adapting training programmes for sustainable health in people with those conditions. Teaching is in English. Admission Requirements: Bachelor's degree with main field training biomedicine, biomedicine, physiotherapy or sports science; anatomy and physiology 15 hp; training theory 7.5 hp; English 6.
