The Architectural Restoration associate programme at Ayvalık Vocational School is a two-year, Turkish-taught programme. It trains technicians in building restoration and urban planning, focused on conserving historic buildings and urban heritage, including the stone houses and religious buildings of Ayvalık. Students take compulsory courses and, in the third and fourth semesters, electives. A 30 working-day internship in the field is compulsory. The programme supports restoration and conservation work in historic and urban sites, and aims to produce staff who can research, conserve and protect cultural values.
