The Automotive Technology associate programme at Balıkesir Vocational School is a two-year, Turkish-taught programme for the automotive production and after-sales service sectors. It teaches appropriate production methods and processes, and how to diagnose and correct faults in internal combustion engines. Students also study the working systems of internal combustion engines and electric vehicles. The programme has been running since 2002 and an internship is part of the study path. Its aims include preparing staff who meet the expectations of external stakeholders.
Graduates receive the title Automotive Technician and can work as intermediate staff between managers or engineers and workers, or open their own workshop.
