Overview

The four-year Museology bachelor's programme responds to growing demand for museum education and museum professionals in Türkiye, a field that became more active from the 1990s with the emergence of museum education and museology concepts. Graduates receive a bachelor's degree in Museology. The programme is taught in Turkish, has no preparatory class, and admits students through the EA score type of central placement. To graduate, students must complete the compulsory and elective courses, earn 240 ECTS credits and reach a cumulative GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00. Practical courses, internships and workplace training play a central role, linking study with industry experience.

Admission Requirements: Central ÖSYM placement using the EA score type of YKS, 20 places, lowest 2026 placement score 257.4 (success rank 701,616). Taught in Turkish with no preparatory class.

Application Details

Application Process: Turkish applicants list the programme among their choices (tercih) in ÖSYM's central placement after the YKS results each July; international applicants apply directly to the university's international student office under the YÖS quota, usually between May and August.
