Overview

The Department of Chemistry at Çankırı Karatekin University was established in 2010 within the Faculty of Science and awards a bachelor's degree in Chemistry. The programme is designed to give students fundamental theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Its learning outcomes follow Level 6 of the Turkish Higher Education Qualifications Framework, including applying advanced theoretical and applied knowledge, interpreting and evaluating data, and developing research-based solutions to problems. Graduates are expected to carry out independent advanced research and accept personal accountability for resolving unpredictable and intricate problems in their field.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Placement through the national YKS (score type SAY) and ÖSYM central placement; 30 places; lowest placement score 279.9 (success rank 382,921). Transfers are reviewed individually before each semester.

Application Details

Application Process: Turkish applicants list the programme among their choices (tercih) in ÖSYM's central placement after the YKS results each July; international applicants apply directly to the university's international student office under the YÖS quota, usually between May and August.
