Overview

The Child Development bachelor's programme is offered by the Ödemiş School of Health Sciences in İzmir. The school opened in 1996 and began teaching in 1997-1998, and its nursing education was integrated into a Faculty of Nursing in 2012. Following a proposal approved by the Senate and YÖK in 2015, the Child Development department was opened in the school. The four-year programme is taught in Turkish and graduates receive a bachelor's diploma in Child Development.

Admission Requirements: Central YKS placement via ÖSYM; score type EA; 23 places; lowest placement score 336.7 (success rank 190,530).

Application Details

Application Process: Turkish applicants list the programme among their choices (tercih) in ÖSYM's central placement after the YKS results each July; international applicants apply directly to the university's international student office under the YÖS quota, usually between May and August.
