Overview

The Accounting and Financial Management programme at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University is a four-year bachelor's degree taught in Turkish at the Seydikemer School of Applied Sciences. It opened in 2016, admitted its first students in 2018-2019, and trains accounting and finance specialists with the professional competence and language skills to work in public institutions and the private sector. The curriculum covers 44 compulsory and 16 elective courses over 167 hours, with accounting and finance theory and Turkish Accounting Standards. Graduates receive the Lisans degree after completing courses equivalent to 240 ECTS with a weighted average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00. The department's plan includes two compulsory internships, the first in the second year and the second in the third year. Graduates may apply to master's and doctoral programmes.

Admission Requirements: ÖSYM central placement under the EA score type; 31 places in the 2026 guide; lowest placement score 288.6 (success rank 439,166). Students must pass the central ÖSYM examination.

Application Process: Turkish applicants list the programme among their choices (tercih) in ÖSYM's central placement after the YKS results each July; international applicants apply directly to the university's international student office under the YÖS quota, usually between May and August.
