Overview

The four-year Gastronomy and Culinary Arts bachelor's programme prepares graduates with scientific and ethical values who can use communication skills effectively in gastronomy organisations. Students build theoretical knowledge and practical cooking skills in national and international cuisine and learn to work in teams. The programme runs eight semesters with a midterm, a final and a make-up exam each semester. Graduates receive a bachelor's diploma in gastronomy and culinary arts. Doctoral and master's study in the field is open to graduates.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Admission through the national YKS exam with ÖSYM central placement, score type SÖZ (Sözel). The 2026 guide lists 40 places and a lowest placement score of 291.9 (success rank 321,228). General admission conditions for Turkish and foreign students apply to start the programme.

Application Details

Application Process: Turkish applicants list the programme among their choices (tercih) in ÖSYM's central placement after the YKS results each July; international applicants apply directly to the university's international student office under the YÖS quota, usually between May and August.
