Cert in Entrepreneurial and Small Business Operations

Barstow Community College offers a Certificate of Achievement in Entrepreneurship and Innovation through its Business and Entrepreneurship pathway. The credential is meant for people heading into entry-level roles in industry and service work, including payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable and management. The curriculum begins with an introduction to business and a computer concepts course. Students then take a sequence of entrepreneurship classes covering the entrepreneurial mindset, design thinking and supply chain basics, launching a venture with limited resources, and money, finance and accounting for founders. All six core courses are required, and together they make up the certificate. Students who want to see how the courses fit into a wider plan can review the college's guided pathway for business.
