BA/BS in Business/Managerial Economics

The Economics major is completed within the Bachelor of Business Administration. Students take intermediate microeconomic and macroeconomic analysis, an econometrics course, and restricted electives at the advanced level. To declare the major, students complete the general BBA requirements and earn at least a C in introductory calculus. A student may repeat each intermediate theory course only once and still continue in the major. Calculus fulfills the BBA math requirement, and a corporate finance course is part of the business core. Students work with an academic advisor to plan course sequences and track progress toward graduation. Baylor is located in Texas, and its catalog lists the courses, grade requirements and degree rules that apply to each entering year. Prospective students can review that catalog page alongside admissions guidance before deciding whether this major fits their goals.
