MA/MS in Clinical, Counseling and Applied Psychology

The M.S.C.P. in clinical psychology is earned by students who have already been accepted into the doctoral Psy.D. track. It recognizes completion of required coursework through the fall of the third year, including clinical and research practicum, and a first written comprehensive exam. Good standing in the Psy.D. program is expected. No foreign language is required. Graduate students should review the general requirements of the Graduate School together with the department's own policies. The requirements described here follow the 2026-2027 catalog edition, and prospective applicants are encouraged to contact the department about course options, sequencing of courses, and how the program fits their goals before applying. The catalog entry is the authoritative statement of degree requirements and should be read alongside the university's general academic regulations before a student plans a course of study.
