PGCert in Educational Assessment, Evaluation, and Research

Fresno State offers a postgraduate certificate focused on research methods, intended for educators and for professionals in other disciplines. Participants learn advanced quantitative, qualitative and mixed approaches to research, and they develop the ability to make ethical, well-grounded decisions that benefit education. Employers across the private sector, hospitals, schools and non-profit groups seek people who can gather and analyze data. The program points to jobs in a school district's research office or a county education office, independent evaluation consulting, polling, writing the evaluation portion of grant proposals, and assisting non-profits as they investigate social justice questions. Students already enrolled at Fresno State can add the certificate to their current studies by submitting an application. Other candidates must apply both to the university and to the certificate itself. A program coordinator is available to respond to inquiries.
