PGCert in Educational Assessment, Evaluation, and Research

This graduate certificate acknowledges focused study of research methods as used in education and the behavioral and social sciences. Its particular strengths are program evaluation and assessment, along with qualitative and statistical approaches, including measurement. To earn it, students complete nine credit hours in specialized educational research and evaluation courses. Introductory prerequisite classes do not count toward this total. Graduates should be able to judge the quality of research plans and reports in evaluation, measurement, qualitative studies and statistics. The program website provides admissions information, tuition and fee details, scholarship opportunities, and a tuition discount for Virginia educators, along with request-information and application links. The page does not state when applications are due, so prospective students should confirm that with the program.
