Program details

Overview

Architecture at Carnegie Mellon is taught inside the College of Fine Arts, in a school that pairs professional design training with the wider university's strength in technology and the arts. Students can follow a professional degree that is accredited and aimed at future licensed architects, or a liberal studies route that leaves room for a second major and for exploring neighbouring fields. Because the school sits beside engineering, computing and art programs, students regularly work on projects with peers from other disciplines. The result is a cohort whose training overlaps but whose individual specializations differ. Prospective students can use the program page to find contact details for the department, a link to start an application and information on curriculum and graduate outcomes. Questions about admission can be sent to the university admission office. The page also highlights what recent graduates did after finishing, including employment and further study.
