AA/AS in Heavy/Industrial Equipment Maintenance Technologies/Technicians

This program teaches students the technical and practical abilities needed for work in forestry operations, building sites, mines, farms, and freight hauling. Classroom instruction is paired with shop practice in welding and in keeping engines, wiring, hydraulic gear, drivetrains, and climate systems on diesel machines in working order. Graduates are well placed for hiring across those industries. Graduates are prepared to diagnose, repair, and maintain farm and construction machinery, locomotives, forklifts, heavy-duty equipment, and logging and trucking vehicles. Students may pair the Associate in Applied Science with a commercial driver license, and a bachelor's-level applied degree in this field is also available at the college for those who want to move into management. Students buy a required set of hand tools.
