Cert in Business Administration, Management and Operations

This diploma prepares students to enter management positions in many kinds of businesses and industries. The program builds the academic grounding and job skills that employers expect when hiring and promoting people into supervisory roles. Completers earn the diploma. Students start with general education in English, mathematics, and either workplace relations or psychology. Occupational classes then cover management principles, organizational behavior, leadership, business basics, ethics, human resources, performance management, and a team project, along with computer literacy. Students also choose between financial and managerial accounting, and between classes on employment rules and business compliance. Guided electives let each student add further coursework in consultation with a program advisor, so the final part of the plan can reflect individual career interests, whether in a particular industry or a specific area of management practice.
