BA/BS in Computer Science

Computer Science at Dallas Baptist University lets students from any major pick up the computer skills needed in the modern world, with the aim of forming servant leaders. The Bachelor of Science major is run by its own department. Departmental goals include following the current academic guidelines of the Association for Computing Machinery, building ties with area businesses, offering several computing platforms and sponsoring a campus computer club. The department's mission is a strong education in work performance, scholarship, ethical use of knowledge and practical logic, set in a Christian environment. The major is intended for careers in which computers play a central part. It requires at least 40 credit hours of computer science along with an upper-level concentration of 12 credit hours.
