The Engineering Technology Associate of Applied Science gives students hands-on experience across several engineering-related technologies. They use problem-solving and STEM skills on technical work.
Many graduates continue into a bachelor's program in the College of Engineering Technology. The curriculum combines general education in English, mathematics, physics and cultural competencies with major courses chosen with an advisor.
Students build a personalized plan in the MyDegree system with advisor approval. Admission looks at a high school GPA or test scores, while transfer students are reviewed on combined college GPA after at least twelve credits. Study typically begins with a university seminar, English, intermediate algebra and physics. The program belongs to the School of Automation, Mechanical and Manufacturing Systems. Because the plan is customized, students can steer their major courses toward the technology area that interests them most.
