MA/MS in Computer Science

The computer science master's (MS) is designed for people who want to build advanced skills for the fast-changing technology sector. Study can take place on campus in the evening or fully online through the graduate division. Coursework brings math, algorithms and theory to bear on practical problems, and students learn to plan, build and assess computing systems, components and software. Concentrations are available in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and data science. The page notes that most computer science jobs call for a master's degree in the field or a related area, which frames the program as preparation for those roles. Prospective students can request information or begin an application from the program page. Costs are published separately on the school's graduate division's tuition and fees page, so applicants should consult it when planning. Enrollment counselors are available by email or phone, and information sessions give a closer look at expectations before applying.
