BA/BS in Chemistry

The Chemistry B.S. emphasizes mentored undergraduate research, a small faculty-to-student ratio and several concentrations. A pre-pharmacy agreement is also on offer. The general track follows American Chemical Society guidelines, with inorganic, analytical, instrumental, organic and physical chemistry. Concentrations cover biochemistry, forensic chemistry and industrial chemistry, the last tied to cleaner manufacturing and sustainable technologies. A dual degree with the Georgia Institute of Technology lets students spend three years on the Georgia College campus then two at Georgia Tech. The department says more offerings are planned as the program grows. The degree is delivered at the Milledgeville campus of a public university in Georgia.
