Overview

Business-General is a flexible associate degree built for students who plan to start work after community college and do not intend to transfer to a four-year school. It gives a wide grounding in how businesses operate. The required courses cover accounting, business law, communication, marketing, money management, microcomputer applications, and macroeconomics, and students finish with a letter grade of C or better in each. General education and elective units are added on top of the major. Students who complete only the major courses can request a Certificate of Achievement in Business-General through Admissions and Records. Typical career paths include bookkeeping, administrative support, credit analysis, and sales.
