AA/AS in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications

Cybersecurity and Networking is an associate degree within Grossmont's Computer Science Information Systems curriculum. It points toward starting-level jobs in networking and cyber defense, where graduates support network and security managers at small, medium, and larger organizations. The major includes Introduction to Linux and Introduction to Cybersecurity, further networking and security classes, and an option in technology ethics. Together the courses add up to between 25 and 26 units, and each must be completed with a grade of C or higher, or Pass. General education and elective units round out the degree. A student who completes just the listed major courses is eligible for a Certificate of Achievement, requested through Admissions and Records ahead of the date set in the academic calendar.
