Cert in Practical Nursing, Vocational Nursing and Nursing Assistants

This one-year diploma trains students to become licensed practical nurses. It consists of thirty-seven credits and, for a full-time student, can be completed in roughly twelve months. The program mixes delivery methods. Required general education classes are taken over the internet, while the nursing courses themselves are attended on campus. The nursing subjects include how people develop across the lifespan, basic nursing skills, the language of medicine, and the care of adults with medical and surgical conditions. After finishing the diploma, graduates can keep studying toward further nursing study at the associate, bachelor's or master's level. Incoming students may also transfer as many as twenty-seven approved credits earned earlier, which can lighten the load. Tuition is charged for each credit, which keeps the cost tied to the number of courses a student chooses to take at one time.
