Overview

The Financial Literacy Certificate teaches the personal and public financial concepts that shape everyday decisions. Topics span household money management, borrowing decisions, insurance, and long-term investing. The program is open to both university students and members of the wider community. The certificate consists of three courses totaling nine credits. The personal finance course examines financial literacy within the regulatory environment, society, and data integrity. A monthly radio show produced by the College of Business covers the program's origins and aims. Students can enroll whether or not they are current Idaho State students, and the monthly radio show offers additional context for the program.
