AA/AS in Construction Management

Construction Management at Joliet Junior College gives students the education and training to enter construction work or to continue studying. Coursework covers building methods and materials and the skills for managing projects, including estimating, scheduling and project management. Students work on a mix of conceptual and real projects guided by instructors with long field experience. Many find jobs while still working on their associate degree and continue toward a bachelor's degree while employed. The page describes construction management as a fast-growing field. Details on the exact courses in each credential sit behind the degree and certificate sections of the page, and a program advisor can help students choose the route that matches their plans. The college also provides a Get Started page for newcomers, and advisors named on the program page can talk through course choices, scheduling and how this credential fits a student's longer-term plans.
