BA/BS in Biology, General

Biology at Le Moyne introduces students to living organisms and ecosystems of every scale. The department offers both arts and science degree options along with a minor, and it also supports dual majors. Students take part in laboratory work, seminars and research with faculty mentors, learning to investigate scientific questions and propose solutions to problems facing people and wildlife. The degree prepares graduates for advanced study in medicine, veterinary science and related fields, or for careers in conservation, environmental science, healthcare, the pharmaceutical industry, animal welfare, research and teaching. The department also connects STEM majors with a scholarship that supports future secondary school teachers. Career support starts early and continues through graduation, through advising, internships and individual coaching from faculty and staff.
