MA/MS in Neurobiology and Neurosciences

Part of the School of Medicine's shared biomedical graduate offerings, this master's degree trains students to bring engineering approaches, whole-system biology and computational analysis to major questions about living systems and human health. Basic Sciences faculty oversee it. Everyone begins with grounding in molecular biology, immunology and infectious disease, then selects advanced classes aligned with personal interests. Faculty strengths span brain and systems research, data analysis, modeling, statistics, radiation physics, imaging, whole-organism physiology and biomedical device work. Full-time students complete the degree in two years, and part-time enrollment is permitted. Applicants can plan for an autumn 2027 start with a final deadline of May 1, 2027.
