MA/MS in Computer Science

The Master of Science in Computer Science mixes theory with practical computing for students aiming at industry roles or further research. Candidates can follow a thesis, a practicum or a coursework-only route. A group of five core courses supplies the common foundation, and the remainder of the plan depends on the chosen track. The degree is run by the engineering faculty. Typical destinations include software development, data science, cybersecurity, cloud architecture, healthcare technology and research positions. Louisiana Tech University, based in Ruston, Louisiana, administers this offering through its Engineering and Science college. Prospective students can ask for more information, arrange a campus visit, or start an application directly from the program page, and the curriculum link there lists the required courses. Applicants are encouraged to review the published curriculum, along with any listed concentrations or minors, before they apply.
