MA/MS in Human Resources Management and Services

The M.S. in Human Resource Management readies graduates for careers managing people in organizations. Employers include private companies of all sizes, labor unions, employee associations, and local, state and federal agencies that deal with employment relations. The curriculum covers organizational behavior, compensation, bargaining with unions, hiring, staff development, evaluating performance, and the legal and policy issues that shape employment. Students also learn how to apply these ideas in practice. A 3+2 arrangement allows business undergraduates to complete a bachelor's and a master's degree in five years, with graduate courses counted toward both. Full admission requires following the graduate admissions process, submitting a resume or CV, and holding an accredited undergraduate degree with a solid GPA, or meeting the alternative standard listed in the catalog.
