AA/AS in Biology, General

Biology is offered at Mendocino College. Biology is the study of living things, from molecules to whole ecological communities. It lays groundwork for later study in medicine, dentistry, genetics, microbiology, botany, zoology, ecology and other life sciences. The program spans 4 semesters of study at Mendocino College, a California community college. Class sessions are delivered by the college faculty, and the sequence is arranged so that a full-time student can progress steadily toward completion. Studying at a community college lets students begin with smaller classes and close contact with instructors while they settle on longer-term educational goals. As a transfer degree, it is designed to move students into the California State University system with priority junior standing, and it exempts completers from the college institutional requirements. Students should confirm details with a counselor.
