AA/AS in Biological and Physical Sciences

Biological Science is offered at Mendocino College. The Biological Science major prepares students for university study of living systems. Later careers can include genetics, pharmacology, aquatic biology, clinical laboratory work, food and drug inspection, wildlife enforcement and environmental work. The program spans 4 semesters of study at Mendocino College, a California community college. Instruction comes from the college faculty, and the course sequence is arranged so that a full-time student can progress steadily toward completion of the major. Studying at a community college lets students begin with smaller classes and close contact with instructors while they settle on longer-term educational goals. Students who plan to transfer should research the destination school requirements and follow the Cal-GETC pattern, ideally with a counselor guiding course choices.
