Cert in Management Information Systems and Services

This micro-credential introduces the basics of working as an IT systems analyst associate. Students develop skills for handling complex and changing technology so that projects meet their requirements and finish on schedule and within budget. The courses cover core ideas in managing projects, using Microsoft project management software, and applying tools for analyzing systems. It is a short program suited to people who want a focused credential rather than a full degree, and it keeps the emphasis on practical project skills. Credits earned here can later apply to the degree in Computer Information Systems. To start, students must be ready for college English and math and be approved by the coordinator, and students may receive credit for earlier training through examination, work experience or transfer, as the coordinator approves.
